In response to the peak of the Black Lives Matter Movement in 2020, we launched our A Dollar and A Vision campaign to raise funds from members and the public to assist in the fight for social justice. We were able to make generous donations to Until Freedom and Campaign Zero with the tremendous help of BGSW members.

The A Dollar and A Vision campaign was so successful that we vow to use A Dollar and A Vision annually for different causes.

For the past two years, we hosted our A Dollar and A Vision campaign to fund our While She Moves Forward Licensure Stipend Initiative. The initiative aims to annually provide financial assistance to at least 10 Black women in Social Work experiencing financial hardship while pursuing the Social Work licensure exam.

With special thanks to our 2021 and 2022 ADAV donors, we were able to assist 14 Black women with covering the full cost of their Social Work exams and prep materials!
